December Donation – Supporting the Kinship Programme Through Padel4Good

Post Date: 28/11/2024

At Padel4Good, we’re wrapping up an incredible year with a December donation of R10,000, thanks to the amazing support of the Cape Town padel community!

This contribution comes from our sold-out back-to-back tournaments and will go towards the Kinship Programme, a South African initiative working with 24 school programs in the Inanda area.

The Kinship Programme is committed to reconnecting children with nature, helping them build emotional resilience, creativity, and a love for the environment. The program’s activities aim to combat challenges like urbanization, reduced physical activity, and environmental disconnection while fostering future conservation leaders.

Why the Kinship Programme Matters

Urban life and technological advancements have limited children’s exposure to green spaces. Studies show that time in nature boosts cognitive skills, emotional regulation, and creativity while reducing stress. The Kinship Programme offers children the opportunity to explore safe, natural environments, helping them gain confidence and develop a love for the planet.

Through this initiative, children in the Inanda area will experience the transformative power of nature, growing into environmentally conscious and empathetic individuals who can lead the way in sustainable development.
