Our First Men’s Padel4Good Tournament for 2025 at Racket + Ball

On Friday, 29th February, Padel4Good hosted its first tournament of 2025 at the vibrant Racket + Ball Padel Club in Bree Street, Cape Town. This Men’s Tournament brought together 32 players ranging from Level 2 to Level 5, all competing for glory, prizes, and a greater cause—raising funds for Rogz Academy.

The energy was electric as players battled it out on the courts, showcasing impressive skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

A massive congratulations to our champions:

Raoul Hasselerharm & Carl Rickens for claiming victory in an exhilarating final match!

Their prize? The Pinnacle Pendulum Padel Racket, a cutting-edge racket worth R3,449 that offers:

  • 18K Carbon Fibre Surface for explosive shots
  • Diamond-Shaped Head for maximum power
  • 3D Matte Spin Surface for ultimate precision & spin
  • 100% Carbon Frame for unbeatable stability

But this tournament was about more than just winning—it was about playing for a bigger purpose.

All proceeds from the event went toward Rogz Academy, a local NPO dedicated to empowering youth through education, mentorship, and nutrition programs.

Rogz Academy: Changing Lives Through Education & Development

Founded by Paul Fuller & Irené Raubenheimer, Rogz is a proudly South African pet brand that has made a global impact, with a presence in over 90 countries. But their passion goes beyond pet gear.

Recognizing the need to uplift their local community, they established Rogz Academy, a non-profit organization committed to creating meaningful change.

  • Education: Supporting Grade 3 & 4 students in under-resourced schools, helping them improve numeracy and literacy skills as they transition from learning in isiXhosa to English.
  • Youth Development: Mentoring and upskilling 18-25-year-olds from underprivileged backgrounds through the YearBeyond program, where they gain valuable experience assisting teachers in schools.
  • Nutrition: Managing an urban farm at Rogz HQ that supplies fresh vegetables to school soup kitchens, ensuring students can focus on learning with full tummies.
