Our Padel4Good Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament, held on Friday, September 1st, was an inspiring event that brought the community together for a great cause. In collaboration with Jesmika Singh, one of the Top 10 finalists for Miss World South Africa.
The event was open to all levels of players, as this was more than just a competition; it was a fundraiser to raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of regular self-examinations for both men and women.
Early detection can save lives, and we are proud to have hosted an event that highlights this crucial message.
In South Africa, 1 in 27 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, making early detection vital. Breast cancer is also a concern for men, and although less common, men should also be aware of the signs and perform regular self-examinations.
Despite having only 12 days to organize, sell tickets, and bring everything together, the tournament was a massive success!
The atmosphere was filled with positive energy, a sense of purpose, and an incredible group of players and supporters who came out to make a difference.
This is a testament to the padel community and the power of small acts of kindness—each one going further than we realize.
Our winning teams on the day were:
- 1st Place: Erin Peters and Alex Crause
- 2nd Place: Kavi and Kapil Singh
- 3rd Place: Millisa Peter and Nicola Powell
Congratulations to all the winners, and a heartfelt thank you to every player and supporter who helped make this event possible. All funds raised from the tournament will be donated to the Miss World South Africa organization, where they will be distributed to various charities in need.
